Should the UK update trident?

So, below we have a video of the debate in the HOC (House of Commons), between the Conservative leader (currently Theresa May) and the leader of the Labour opposition (Jeremy Corbyn.) The question of debate is, should the UK update trident?

First, let's clear up what trident is. Trident is a nuclear weapon, that the UK are looking to spend up to £100 billion, to almost repurchase, so that the UK are able to use nuclear weaponry as a method of defence in the event of nuclear war.

Theresa May, majority of the conservative party and even a lot of the labour party, are in favour of this update, as they believe that it is essential for the protection and defence of the country, in order not to appear weak to other world leaders.

Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the labour party, is very much against this update. Jeremy has a history of rebellion against war and violence, so this idea is very much true to his nature. The leader of the green party is also against this update for a few reasons such as, the cost, which could be spent else where, for example health care and education and also the morality of using nuclear weapons, which has been condemned all together by the UN (united nations.)

So watch the video? What do you think? Yes or no?

Personally, I say no. To me, it seems ridiculous that people would think the answer to ending war and ending violence is to buy a bomb, that will probably never ever need to actually be used.

The money alone is enough to put me off the idea, with our beloved NHS in crisis and education becoming more and more expensive for university students. This money is needed for the social structure of the UK to improve and not to destroy and kill the lives of others.
